Ronggama Fm
Type Locality and Naming
The type section lies at about 300 m from a southwest-trending dry gully at Ronggama, 3.5 km south of Quzon, Pazhug District, Tingri County, Tibet. It was named by Yin Jixiang and Guo Shizeng in 1976.
Lithology and Thickness
Limestone and Sandstone. Gray and dark-gray thin- to moderately thick-bedded limestone, intercalated with platy cross-bedded sandstone. The limestone is crystallized, in an extremely abnormal relationship with the surrounding shale, of a disorderly attitude. About 80 m thick.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Uncertain: The lower boundary is unclear in the type section.
Upper contact
Uncertain: It is in faulted contact with the Quzon Fm in the type section.
Regional extent
Mainly distributed around Quzon, Pazhug District, Tingri County; westward along strike to Yali Village of Nyalam County, it is also exposed at Yunzhug Township of Xianza County north of the Yarlung Zangbo River.

Fossils
Yielding crinoid stems and brachiopods. From the gray thin-bedded clayey limestone in a horizon corresponding to Kede are collected abundant small solitary Corals Beichuanophyllum pazhugense, Zaphrentites sp. and Hapsiphyllum sp.
